A Bird and a "B"

I am woefully behind on blogging.  I have been blessed with a ton of "blogger-tunities" but have had precious little time to catch up on each of the opportunities.  They are posts that require a lot of thought and I have been running around so much this weekend I can hardly "hold a thought" let alone create a string of cogent thoughts that I would care to share with the world wide web!  This post will focus mostly on precious photos...and food.  I can ALWAYS put together a solid thought surrounding food....especially a worthy sandwich!

In the rush of the last few days I visited Elaine Turner boutique over my lunch break.  I needed to grab a quick bite and being four doors down from Bird Bakery, the decision was a lock!  I have heard GREAT things about Bird Bakery and while I have nary a sweet tooth, I was informed they create delicious sandwiches....perfect for my lunch on the go.

I walked in and was immediately transported, chorus of angels singing "aaaaaaaa-aaaaaaah" in the background music of my head.  What a gorgeous bakery.  Attention to detail abounds and a truly delicious experience, not only for the mouth, but for the eyes has been handily crafted by the famous guy and his wife.  (Sorry guys...that is how I have been referring to you in my head!  I didn't see the Facebook movie. I know, I am the only person on the planet that hasn't.)

Below are some photos I snapped with my handy camera phone whilst waiting for my California Turkey Sandwich.

By the way...my sandwich was an experience, rather than just "lunch."  I mean, raspberry mayonnaise? I am SOLD!  Henceforth, I will look for any excuse to head down to Bird Bakery and bathe in the shabbiest of chic venue in town....but make no mistake...there is absolutely nothing shabby about the food...only chic!

  1. Patty, I love Bird Bakery too. But I haven't had a chance to try lunch there yet. Now I really can't wait. Your photos of the whole bakery are so pretty.

  2. Thanks, Colleen! The menu isn't terribly huge...but they have sandwiches and salads...and delicious tea! I fell IN LOVE with the decor....soooooo "Patty Vela" in there! Hope you are well. Your head shot is gorgeous! I am going to post mine within the week. It was just Misha and me on Saturday. I had a great time visiting with her and am so sad she is leaving us. :(
